The educational seminars that Andrew, Grant and Action Coach have presented to our membership have been outstanding. These seminars have increased the value of being a member of the GNCC by educating our membership on being better business owners. Through our Lunch and Learn meetings, members have learned how to create a referral based business and how referrals internal to the GNCC can significantly improve their business. Members have learned how networking (such as through a Chamber) can extend sales and marketing arms. They have also learned how to create and maintain the best employees and the power of Strategic Alliances.
The effect of these seminars has been profound. Not only have we increased membership in difficult economic times, we have had positive feedback from current members on the value of such education in running their businesses. Members have asked for more of these seminars in the fall. Member retention is at an all-time high.
As well, together we have begun to diversify our membership into new industries like construction and trades with target marketing. We look forward to engaging more businesses with this strategy.
Also, our partnership with Action Coach has helped build stronger and more effective relationships with our Executive and Board of Directors. They have taught us the skills that have allowed a more focused approach to the GNCC goals.
With their guidance, our office has been able to meet the needs of our members much more effectively. Andrew and Grant’s positive attitude is infectious and they are a great supporter of the chamber. They have a unique ability to educate without lecturing – as the seminars are very interactive and encourage active participation.
